Betty White Stogner

Mrs. Betty White Stogner, 85, beloved wife of the late John Robert Stogner, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mrs. Stogner was born January 5, 1931 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John H. and Connie S. White. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockingham. She retired from Richmond County School System. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed by all that loved her. Surviving are one daughter, LuAnn Stogner Wallace, her husband Darrell, her grandson Andrew John-Douglas Wallace of Greenville, SC, one sister Annie Grace Turnage of Rockingham, several nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gratten White. Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Dr. Jim Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Wednesday.
