Helen Louise Covington Ratliff

Helen Louise Covington Ratliff, 87, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at FirstHeatlh Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. Ratliff was born June 5, 1928 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Thomas Everett and Bertha Lee Williams Covington. She had retired from White Poultry Company and was preceded in death by her children, Peggy Ussery, Lynn Sanford and an infant daughter. Surviving are her grandchildren, Michael Ussery, Brian Ussery, Brent Ussery, Rodney Sanford and Chris Sanford and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Interment will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 10 to 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
