Christy King

Mrs. Christy Hudson King, 52, of 514 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Ellerbe died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born June 4, 1956, the daughter of Margie Williams Hudson and the late James Hudson. Mrs. King was a paper carrier for the Richmond County Daily Journal for approximately seventeen years. Prior to this, she was employed with Chaps Cleaner’s. Mrs. King, also, had previous employment with Roses’s, Jones, K-Mart, and Wood’s stores. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, May 16th in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Gary King of the home: a son, Gary King, Jr. and girlfriend, Kaley Parrish of Ellerbe; her mother, Margie Hudson of Rockingham; a grand daughter, Allyson King; and a brother, James Hudson, Jr. and wife Donna of Rockingham. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her father, James Hudson. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
