Helga Luise Antonie Poole

Helga Luise Antonie Bechtluft Poole, 80, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Hospice Haven. Helga was born February 8, 1936 in Frankfort Germany, a daughter of the late Karl and Auguste Bruckner Bechtluft. She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maness Poole and her daughter Nancy Cloninger. Surviving are her daughter, Sheila Dawkins; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret Felike and Waltrant Enders. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 6:00 pm in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Pastor Robbie Stewart Officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 – 7:00 pm at her home and on Thursday from 4:45 – 5:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the Memorial Service.
