Roger Steve Bryant

Roger Steve Bryant, 72, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mr. Bryant was born January 22, 1944 in Richmond County, a son of the late Walter Lee and Catherine Elizabeth Craft Bryant. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and had retired from Burlington Industries. He enjoyed the outdoors and dearly loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Bryant. Surviving are his children, Roger Steve Bryant, Jr.(Julie) of Ellerbe, Walter Allen Bryant of Holden Beach, Belinda Bryant Smith of Ellerbe; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Mark Bryant of Rockingham; sisters, Susan Peele of Cordova, Carole Peveto of Ocean Isle; aunt, Martha Milligan of Rockingham and special cousins, Cara Bennett and Autumn Cassidy. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Pastor Steve Gilmer officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at Steve’s home.
