Johnnie Wilbur Burnett

Johnnie Wilbur Burnett, 67, of Cordova, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his home. Mr. Burnett was born August 22, 1948 in Saluda, SC, a son of the late Roy and Effie Lee Riser Burnett. He had served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, worked in textiles and had been the co-owner of Sword Castle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a longtime family friend, Rickey “Catfish” Martin. Surviving are several cousins and special family friend, Kristen Martin. Graveside services will be at 4 pm Friday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Saluda, SC, with Pastor Bill Stone officiating.
