Elsie Becker Clemions

Else Becker Clemions, 93, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mrs. Clemions was born October 4, 1922 in Wiesbadden, Germany, a daughter of the late Bernhardt and Else Becker.. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and owned and operated Vernice’s Beauty Shop for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newman Henry “Clem” Clemions. Surviving are her daughters, Jean Baggett and Patricia Parrish, both of Rockingham; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 am Thursday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Standridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will see friends from 9 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church and at other times at 108 Circlewood Dr. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1247 Sandhill Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379.
