Charles Arthur Bricker, 90, of 115 Keith Ave., Rockingham, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mr. Bricker was born February 5, 1919 in Slate Lick, PA, a son of the late Arthur Leroy and Jennie Maude Blaine Bricker. Mr. Bricker served his country during World War II in the United States Army, serving in the European and Pacific Theaters. He was a member of Community Church where he has been an Elder, a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir and had retired from Dravo Corporation where he was a Pipe Fabrication Engineer. Following the death of his wife of 51 years, Elsie Erickson Bricker, in 1999 he began volunteering with Richmond County Hospice. Surviving are his son, Paul E. Bricker and wife Deborah, of Wadesboro; his daughter, Linnea S. Marshall, of Estero, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Marshall and wife Christina, Stephanie Barone, Cherrie Cameron, Gina Clarke and husband Jason, Melody Goodwin and husband Nathan, 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Helen B. Gaiser of Sarver PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in the chapel of Jefferson Memorial Park Funeral Home in Pittsburgh, PA. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2009 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Church, or to the Rockingham Senior Center.
