Audrey O Campbell

Audrey O. Campbell, 83, of Rockingham was called home to be with her Lord on July 2, 2016. Audrey was born August 25, 1932, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Edith Cornelius Lear Oliver. Audrey was retired from many years of service to Sara Lee Hosiery, and was a long time member of Cordova United Methodist Church. She was a member of the church choir, a Sunday school teacher, and active in the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband George W.(Bill) Campbell, son George W.(Billy) Campbell, Jr., brother Ernest Oliver and sister Grace O. Flythe. Surviving are: grandson, George W. (Trey) Campbell and wife Martha, granddaughter Crystal Leigh Campbell and fiancée Greg Davison; great-grandson, Jackson C. Bower; a sister, Jane Tweed; daughter-in-law Judy C. Pressley and husband Jerry; and many loved nieces, nephews, family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at Cordova United Methodist Church with pastor Ken Griswold Officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home, Rockingham, and other times at the home of Trey and Martha Campbell.
