Margaret Campbell

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Campbell, 83, of Hwy. 1 S., Rockingham died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1925 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Julian and Blevin Gibson Gaddy. Mrs. Campbell was retired from Burlington Industries with thirty-five years of service and was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, June 12th at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Brooks and Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving is a daughter, Judy C. Smith of Mount Airy; a son, Pat Campbell and wife Becky of Rockingham; two sisters, Hallie Gurganious of Hamlet and Julia McIntosh of Greensboro; grandchildren, Dana Draughn, Paige Badgett, and Abby Gallimore, all of Mount Airy, Heather Campbell of Raleigh, Katherine Bendell of Hamlet, Inman Campbell of Boone, Tommy Cline of Boiling Springs, SC, Chris Cline of Shreveport, LA, Lindsey Helms, Christopher Cline and Caroline Cline, all of Rockingham; and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Campbell in 1994 and sisters, Lois Brigman, Mary Watts, Georgia Shoaf, and Bernice Shoaf. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at 211 Deerfield Dr., Rockingham.
