William Edward Paul

William Edward Paul, 75,of Ellerbe, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at his home. Mr. Paul was born January 21, 1941 in Hoke County, a son of the late Cletus and Mary Frances Harrell Paul. He was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church, Ellerbe and had been employed with Fruit of the Loom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, David Bryan Paul and sisters, Mabel Carroll and Lillian Lowe. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Jewell Quick Paul of the home; daughter, Sonya P. Bridges (Martin) of Rockingham and sisters, Kay Carroll of Rockingham, Marion Greene of Candor and Ellen Chalmer of McLean, VA. Funeral services will be at 11am Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Ellerbe with Rev. Stan Layton officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 10 to 10:45 am Tuesday at the church and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O.Box 116, Ellerbe, NC 28338.
