Shirley Ann Causey

Shirley Ann Causey, 65, of Ellerbe, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. Ms. Causey was born July 25, 1943 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Isaac and Flora Guinn Causey. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and had been a PBX operator at Hamlet Hospital. Surviving are sons, Paul Thomas Capel, Jr. and wife Karen of Ellerbe, Timothy Brian Capel and wife Angie of Rockingham; 5 grandchildren Amber and Rob Burdick , Echo and Heath Parks, Chance Capel and fiancé Browyn Pryce, Belle and Sam Capel ; 5 great-grandchildren Annabelle Parks, Elijah Parks, Ethan Burdick, Dakota Chavis, Xaandria Capel; and sisters, Laura Mae Brown and Catherine Peek, both of Rockingham. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday in Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Tuttle officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
