LouEsther McLeod Moore

R. LouEsther McLeod Moore, 75, of Rockingham, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. Moore was born August 28, 1933 in Chesterfield County, SC., a daughter of the late Walter and Rosa Huggins McLeod. She had worked in textiles for over 40 years with Beaunit Manufacturing Company and Avondale Mills. Her husband, Lloyd ( Lefty) Moore and a brother Lawrence ( Mack) McLeod preceded her in death. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kathy Moore of Hamlet; daughter and son-in-law, Thetus and Wayne Williams of Rockingham; grandchildren, Dwayne Williams and wife Amy of Rockingham, Allen Moore and wife Charlene of Hamlet, Chris Moore and wife Mandy of Germany; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gabrielle, Ally and Jorja Moore; brothers, Robert, Wendell and Phil McLeod, all of Cheraw, SC; and a sister, Muriel Osburn of Brunswick, Ga. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Rainwater, Rev. Mitchell Roller and Rev. Drew Rainwater officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship, Hatcher Hill Rd., Wallace, SC, 29596, or to Sweet Haven Church, 424 Midway Rd. Rockingham, NC 28379.
