Bernie Delano Wyand, Jr.

Bernie Delano Wyand, Jr. of Hamlet passed away on September 19, 2016 at his home. Bernie was born January 18, 1957 in Richmond County, a son of the late Bernie Delano and Lois Dunn Wyand. He will be remembered for his loving and larger than life personality; never turning away a stray, whether it be human or animal. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Surviving are a son, Matthew Stephen Wyand; daughter, Jennifer Renee Wyand; granddaughter, Gracie Wyand; brothers, Robert Stephen Wyand, Jeffrey Neil Wyand, William Daniel Wyand; sisters, Ruth Ann Johnson, Dana Rodgers(Bob), and Christie McQueen. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Abundant Life Church at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Joe Wilkes officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at the church.
