Peggy McCormick Webb

Peggy McCormick Webb, 82, of Rockingham passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 18, 1934 a daughter of the late John William and Laura Jane Talbert McCormick. She was retired from Russell Knit in Candor and attended Joy Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Milton Webb, a daughter Hazel Godfrey and great-granddaughter Samantha Pait.. Surviving are; a son, James Godfrey; daughter, Ruby Richardson; grandchildren, Brandi Cooper, Will Richardson, James Godfrey III, Felisha Honeycutt, Crystal Burr; great-grandchildren, Emma Cooper, Ella Cooper, Rae Rae Cooper, Drake Richardson, Laila Richardson, Lilly Pearson, Rileigh Pearson, Bryceson Burr, Miley Pait, Jeremia Godfrey, Jocelyn Godfrey and Carrie Luther. Also surviving are brothers, Johnny, Joe, Jerry, Doran, Robert and Max McCormick, and sisters, Agnes Whittington, Louise Lucas and special companion “Duke”. A Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with the Rev. June Grant Officiating. Burial will follow in Chappel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
