Daniel Nathan Durden

Daniel Nathan Durden, 85, of 135 Lady Mary Lane, Rockingham, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at Rockingham Manor. Mr. Durden was born January 24, 1924 in McColl, SC, a son of the late Harvey and Florine Lambert Durden. He served his country during World War II in the US Navy and retired from Burlington Industries. His wife, Nettie Durden, preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter, Judi D. Broadway of Rockingham; brothers, Allen Durden and Tim Durden, both of Rockingham; sisters, Bessie Hopkins of Roanoke Rapids, Rebecca Davis of Greensboro; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
