Marlene Burleson Thompson

Marlene Burleson Thompson, 74, of Ellerbe passed away Friday December 2, 2016 at CMC Union surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Stanly County a daughter of the late Olen Floyd and Eltis Clark Burleson. She was a member of Pee Dee Presbyterian Church and was retired form Daphne’s Hallmark in Southern Pines. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Curtis Thompson and her brothers, Montie Floyd Burleson and Ralph Olen Burleson. Surviving are her sons, Christopher Clark Thompson and Chad Morris Thompson, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
