Herbert Elmer Webb

Herbert Elmer Webb, 89, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mr. Webb was born December 21, 1927 in Richmond County, a son of the late Elmer and Alma Lisk Webb. He had served his country in the US Navy, and was the owner and operator of Webb Oil and Tire and Webb Rentals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Buckles Webb and a son, Herbert Wayne Webb. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Linda Van Dyke Webb of the home; daughter, Pamela Nabors (Lou) of Ellerbe; step children, Lisa Rivera (Eddie) and Terrie Currie (James) , all of Rockingham; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Henry Webb (Sylvia) of Rockingham and sister, Hazel West (Harry) of Sarasota, FL. Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Chuck McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 9:45 to 10:45 am Monday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
