Hazel Layton Brigman

Hazel Lathan Brigman, 92, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Pruitt Health in Rockingham. Mrs. Brigman was born January 3, 1925 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John and Mattie Boyette Lathan. She was a member of Sweet Haven Church, had retired from JP Stevens Co and later worked as a greeter at Walmart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas “Tom” Brigman. Surviving are her children, John Thomas Brigman (Betty) of Rockingham, Sandra Brigman Treadaway (Chuck) of Rockingham and Patricia Brigman Thompson(Tom Miles) of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Mandy Hyatt, Josh Treadaway, Joey Thompson and great grandchildren, Cooper and Tucker Hyatt. Funeral services will be at 2pm Friday at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
