Beeler Dewayne “Bill” Brown, 76, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Hospice Haven. Bill was born September 13, 1940 in Hartsville, SC, a son of the late Charlie and Laura Mae King Brown. He was a member of East Rockingham First Pentecostal Church and owner and operator of Sandhills Builders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Althea Norton Brown. Surviving are his son, Terry Brown (Deborah) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Jennifer Lockey and Tyler Brown; great grandchild, Jarrett Lockey; brother, Eddie Brown of Rockingham and sisters, Carol Stutts of Rockingham, Scottie Brown of Rockingham and Shirley Thomason of Lexington. Graveside services will be at 11 am Thursday at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Amos and Rev Greg Amos officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
