Jerry Hogan Allen

Jerry Hogan Allen, 77 of Rockingham, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mr. Allen was born March 24, 1939 in Anson County, a son of the late William Thomas and Mary Gladys Hogan Allen. He had served his country in the US Air Force and had retired from CSX Railroad. He truly loved his friends and church family at Community Church where he was a member, deacon and chairman of the board. Surviving are his children, William Thomas “Tommy” Allen of Rockingham, Kristal Allen Gomiller (James) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Thomas Allen Deaver, Jadyn Elisa Gomiller; great grandchild Declan Thomas Deaver; special friend, Darlene Sugg and many loving cousins. Funeral services will be at 1pm Monday, February 13, 2017 at Community Church with Rev. Chris Young and Rev. Robby Stewart officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Candor. The family will see friends from 5-7pm Sunday at Community Church and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Community Church, Memorial Fund or Scholarship Fund, 193 Mill Rd, Rockingham, NC 28379.
