Mishie Ann Davis Chavis

Mishie Chavis Mishie Ann Davis Chavis, 73, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Chavis was born July 22, 1943 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Carl and Roxie Brigman Davis. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her children, William James Norton of Charlotte, Susan N. Porter of Alpharetta, GA; step children, Michael McLendon and Melinda McLendon, both of Rockingham; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Carl “Bud” Davis, Jr. of Monroe and sister, Bonnie Renzi of New Jersey. A service to celebrate Mrs. Chavis’s life will be at 1 pm Saturday at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Sanders officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
