Van Lee Berry

Van Lee Berry, 69, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home. Van was born November 1, 1947 in Montgomery County, a son of the late Cecil Larkin and Hildred Lee Blake Berry. He was the owner and operator of Berry Heating & Air and was preceded by the love of his life, his wife, Diane Will Berry in 2008. Surviving are his daughter, Josie Berry of Marietta, Ga; brother Cecil L. Berry, Jr. (Dianne) of Kannapolis; sisters, Pat Scruggs (Meredith) and Pam Smith (Alan), all of Belmont; many nieces and nephews and special friends. A service to celebrate his life will be at 3pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. The family will greet friends following the service. The family would like to thank Van’s good friend, Kenny Gatlin, wife Kim and son Michael for their kindness and love during this difficult time.
