Terry Wayne Cockman

Mr. Terry Wayne Cockman, of Carolina Beach, NC, died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was born November 16, 1953 in Richmond County, NC, a son of the late James and Juanita Wilson Cockman. As a business graduate of East Carolina University, he had been employed as the Corporate Comptroller of Remington Apparel and CFO/COO of Flow Sciences, Inc. Terry was a devoted member of Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. He enjoyed time with family and friends, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golf and had a great love for the beach. He also enjoyed college football, especially the ECU Pirates. Surviving are his daughter, Haylea Martin and husband Joseph of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter, Ella Reese Martin, and a brother, Eddie Cockman, wife Macque and son Ryan of St. Pete Beach, FL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
