Lillie Deese Hudson

Lillie Hudson, 90, of Rockingham passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born December 27, 1926 in Marlboro County, SC, a daughter of the late John W. Deese and Dora Brigmam . She retired from textiles, where she was a spinner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee “ R.L.” Hudson, daughter Janice Elaine Hough, grandchildren, Joe Davis Hough, Jr., Liam Hayes and Christopher Hough. Surviving are her daughter, Jo Ann Greene, grandchildren, Joshua Paul Greene, Brian Hough, Kenny Hough, Amy Hayes, Lisa Myers, and nine great-grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, with the Rev. Albert Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery in Wallace, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:45 – 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
