Pauline Ratliff Swink, 97, of Cordova, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Swink was born May 9, 1919 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Jess and Lillie Holder Ratliff. She was a longtime member of Cordova United Methodist Church and had retired from Aleo Manufacturing as a spinner/trainer. She loved flowers and gardening in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Swink, sisters, Gertrude Bowers and Minnie Kelly and brother, Roy Ratliff. Surviving are her son, Michael Swink and wife Corinne of Rockingham; grandson, Jarrod Swink and wife Cassie and great granddaughters, Sadie Bowman and Lexi Swink. Funeral services will be at 2pm Wednesday at Cordova United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Griswold officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
