David Lynn Talbert

David Lynn Talbert, 76, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2017 at Kingswood nursing Center in Aberdeen . Born on July 12, 1940 in Richmond County a son of Carolyn Senia Hardister and Paul Ashby Talbert. David was a graduate of Pompano Beach Florida High School. He was a successful owner/manager of several grocery stores throughout Florida and the Carolinas. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and grandchild. Surviving are his wife Maria Talbert of West End, sister, Sylvia Lemson, brothers, Paul Talbert, Tommy Talbert, and Buddy Talbert, children Kay T. Smith of Raleigh, Doug A. Talbert of Staunton, VA, Mark W. Talbert of Melbourne, FL, Charlie Wallace of Ellerbe, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grand-child. David, a devoted, husband, father, grandfather will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday June 4, 2017 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, with Rev. Chris Hawks officiating.
