Bill Grant

Mr. Zeb Willard ‘Bill’ Grant, 85, of 120 Carrye St., Rockingham died Saturday, May 13, 2006 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. He was born December 15, 1920 in Swain Co., NC, a son of the late Cora J. Dehart and John H. Grant. Mr. Grant was a member of West Rockingham United Methodist Church and was a retired Maintenance Supervisor with the Department of Transportation with forty-two years of service. Funeral services will be conducted graveside at 1:00 pm Monday, May 15th in Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Larry Chandler officiating. Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Carrye Thomas Grant of the home; three sisters, Hazel Lindsay of Bryson City, Helen Dills of Trinity, and Lynn Gibson of Archdale; three brothers, Dillard Grant of Canton, Odell Grant of Bryson City, and Ray Grant of High Point; and also, Sandy Rainwater of North Myrtle Beach, who is special to the Grant family.
