Frances Hogan Clark passed away peacefully on Sunday June 18, 2017 at the Hermitage Retirement Center in Rockingham, NC. Mrs. Clark was born January 31, 1922 in Montgomery County, NC to Charles “Pete” and Paulina Mae Broome Hogan. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney T. Clark, and siblings Lena Eaddy, Inez Goodwin, Ruby Stein, Eugene Hogan and Elizabeth Carter. A career textile worker, Frances was employed by Safie Manufacturing Company in East Rockingham until it ceased operation in 1957. She was then employed by Klopman Mills in Cordova until her retirement. She was a devoted Christian, a Sunday school teacher and a dedicated church member throughout her life. She is survived by her sons, Charles Clark (Pat) of Wake Forest, NC and Terry Clark (Robin) of Rockingham. Four grandchildren, Wendy Parrish of Wake Forest, Will Clark, Brittany Clark and Kayla Clark of Rockingham and two great grandchildren, Tyler Huff and Savannah Huff of Wake Forest. In addition she is survived by siblings Elgie Croke of Hamlet, NC, James L. “Bill” Hogan (Vivian) of Ramseur, NC and Mavis McLamb of Garland, NC. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 11 AM in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Price officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holliness Church, 175 Yates St., Rockingham, NC 28379
