Harry "Pete" Franklin Hendrix

Harry Franklin “Pete” Hendrix 72 of Rockingham, NC passed away at his home on Thursday, June 29, 2017 surrounded by his family. Pete was born on April 24, 1945 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Eli Hugh Hendrix and Eula Gainey Hendrix. He was also preceded in death by a brother William Ray “Buddy” Hendrix and sister Mae Hendrix O’Neal. He was a truck driver and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Pete is survived by his wife, Brenda Webb Hendrix, children Sherri Hendrix Dixon (Danny), Bradley Taylor(Heather), Cameron Taylor(Jenny) and Tara Taylor (Anthony Smith); siblings, Dorothy Dillon (Fred), Sue Hendrix McManus, Vonciel Holloman, Belva Prozzi (Gino), Bobby Eugene “Bill” Hendrix; grandchildren, Lyndsey Abernethy, Eli Dixon, Ally Taylor, Riley Taylor, Sawyer Taylor, Chole Taylor and Hunter Taylor. Pete is also survived by his fur buddies, Katie, Abby and Jazzy. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, NC on Saturday July 1, 2017.
