Linda McDermott Robinson

Linda McDermott Robinson, 58, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Robinson was born August 21, 1958 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Margaret Burns McDermott. She was a member of Nebo Wesleyan Church and had worked at Hamlet Middle School for over 20 years. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Robinson and a sister, Mary Clark. Surviving are her husband, Cecil Robinson; daughters, Mandy Taylor, Christy Robinson and Sara Robinson; grandchildren, Christian Robinson, Kyle Chappell and Kase Thomas; sisters, Elizabeth Brown and Dorothy Cain; step-son, James White and step-grandchildren, Nealey Lovin, Anakin White, Erika DeBerry and Hailey Stafford. Funeral services will be at 3 pm Saturday at Nebo Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jeff Collins and Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 1:45 to 2:45 pm Saturday in the Church Fellowship Hall and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Sponsor A Child, c/o Hamlet Middle School.
