William "Mike" Michael Mabe

William Michael “Mike” Mabe, 65, of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Mike was born December 16, 1951 in Moore County, a son of the late James Leamon and Annie Mae Nelson Mabe. He was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church, where he had been a Sunday School teacher and was a driver for Estes Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Michelle Mabe and sister, Sylvia Allred. Surviving are his wife Becky Tilley Mabe of the home; son, Greg Mabe (Carrie) of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Amber Mabe of Rockingham, Joshua Mabe and Gracie Mabe, both of Ellerbe; brother, Wiley Mabe (Judy) of Rockingham; sister, Peggy Carter (Larry) of Rockingham; one niece and several nephews. Funeral services will be at 3pm Sunday at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Lutz officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home.
