Mrs. Doris Brown Bostick, 78, of Rockingham died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. She was born April 14, 1931 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Elma McLendon Brown and Homer Jennings Brown. Mrs. Bostick was a member of Pee Dee United Methodist Church and was retired with Burlington Industries. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Pee Dee United Methodist Church with Rev. M. L. Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery. Surviving is a daughter, Deborah Lynn Bostick and fiancé Kenny Morgan of Rockingham; grandchildren, Jaclyn Bowers Beall and husband Sammy of Fair Hope, AL, Lauren Bowers Dudley and husband Chris of Wilmington, Whitney Morgan and Christopher Morgan, both of Indian Trail; great grandchildren, Peyton Dudley, Hannah Beall, Brooks Dudley, and Jillian Dudley; and a special great nephew, Cameron Abrams. Mrs. Bostick was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer J. Brown, Jr., James L. Brown, and Jerry G. Brown.
