Roy Lee Richardson Roy Lee Richardson, 83 of Rockingham, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Hospice Haven surrounded by his family. Roy was born November 13, 1933 in McColl, SC a son of the late William Burt and Sue Clark Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church and was retired from North Carolina Natural Gas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Richardson; a son, Alvin Richardson; granddaughter, Courtney Deese; brother William Richardson. Surviving are; sons, Robin Richardson(Karen), Scott Richardson; granddaughter, Crystal Richardson(Josh); great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Cameron, Ethan, Kylee and Chase. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 23, 2017, in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Reverend Sonny Diggs officiating. Burial will follow in Northam Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of his granddaughter at 265 North Street in Hamlet.
