Alfred Chillious Davis

Mr. Alfred Chillious Davis Jr., 82 of 115 Gibson Drive Rockingham died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Rockingham Manor. He was born August 4, 1927 in Richmond County a son of the late Alfred C and Jenny Thomas Davis. He served his county in the Army during WW II. He was a supervisor in the paper mill industry. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Davis in 2008. A graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Northam Cemetery with Rev. Lester English and Billy Tatum officiating. He is survived by three daughters, Kitti Braddock of Rockingham, Susan McLaurin of Jacksonville N.C and Vicki Bianco of California, two brothers Jimmy Davis and Bucky Davis both of Rockingham, and three sisters Elsie Allen, Peggy Warren, and Carol Norton all of Rockingham. Five grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other time at her daughter Kitty Braddock’s home.
