Edward L. Dillon

Mr. Edward Lee Dillon, 78, of 126 Brigman Road, Ellerbe died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. He was born May 3, 1928 in Guilford Co., a son of the late Bessie Childress and Ross Lee Dillon. Mr. Dillon was retired from Pinecroft Industries and worked with Tartan Boat Company for a number of years prior to that. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, June 5th at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Otis Goins officiating. Surviving are his wife, Hester Goins Dillon of the home; a son, Gary Lee Dillon of Greensboro; a sister, Christine Stone of Greensboro; three stepsons, Leon Goodwin of Ellerbe, Michael Goodwin of Aberdeen, and Darryl Goodwin of Lake Waccamaw. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dot Poole, Laura Clapp, and Helen Griffin, and a brother, Buck Dillon. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 pm Sunday evening at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
