Robert Carpenter

Mr. Robert Lee Carpenter, 98 of 1906 Fenton St., Rockingham died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mr. Carpenter was born September 2, 1911 in Anson County, a son of the late William and Ella Meacham Carpenter. He served his country in the South Carolina State Army Guard. He was a supervisor in the textile industry. He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Mae Jenkins Carpenter. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Lester English officiating. He is survived by his daughter, Jere C Ludlum and husband Bill of Safety Harbor, Florida, one sister Mary Helen Carpenter of Charlotte, and one granddaughter, Glenda Brown Hampton of Newark, Ohio.
