Juanita Terry Dawkins

Mrs. Juanita Terry Dawkins, 74, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. Dawkins was born August 4, 1935, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Oliver Terry. She was a dedicated member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Rockingham, had retired from L’Eggs Hosiery in Rockingham and following her retirement worked with Lowe’s of Rockingham. Her husband, Calvin M. Dawkins preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Brad Coggins of Rockingham; grandchildren, Ashtan Coggins and Brayden Coggins of Rockingham; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Margaret Terry;nephews and niece, Wayne Terry of Hamlet, Eric Terry of Raleigh and Renae Dean of Greensboro and step-son Mark Dawkins of Rockingham. A service to celebrate Juanita’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Harris Jordan and Rev. L.D. Driggers officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times at the Terry Home, 440 Airport Rd.
