Linda McCormick

Ms. Linda Marie McCormick, 47, of 861 Hwy 73 East, Ellerbe died Friday, January 1, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born August 31, 1962, a daughter of Nancy Simmons McCormick and the late Frank McCormick. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2010 in the Carter Funeral Home chapel in Ellerbe with Rev. Lesly Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. Surviving, in addition to her mother, Nancy McCormick of Ellerbe, are two sons, Justin Lee McCormick and Jason Richard Bennett, both of Ellerbe; a daughter, Jessica Marie McCormick of Ellerbe; two grandchildren, McKensey Jade Bennett and Cassie Marie Locklear and two step-grandchildren, James Lee Locklear and Shelina Lenae Locklear; a sister, Helen Crepps of Pittsboro; and two brothers, William Richard McCormick and Charles Douglas McCormick, both of Ellerbe. Ms. McCormick was preceded in death by her father, Frank McCormick. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
