Ronald Griggs

Mr. Ronald Lindsey Griggs, 56, of Rockingham died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. He was born August 31, 1953 in Richmond County, a son of the late Jay B. and Dorothy Moore Griggs. For many years, Mr. Griggs was a supervisor with Industrial Sheet Metal in Rockingham. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial chapel with Rev. Ricky Jacobs and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Surviving are daughters, Stephanie Williams and husband Terry of Lilesville, and Sharon Elizabeth Griggs and Bobbie Jo Griggs, both of Troy; a grandson, Garrett Williams; a sister, Carolyn Smith of Rockingham; and a brother, Donald Griggs of Hamlet. Mr. Griggs was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Griggs and sisters, Grace and Margie, and brothers, Jerry and Terry. Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham is assisting the Griggs family.
