Jaunita Allen Henderson

Juanita Allen Henderson, 95, formerly of Ellerbe, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Rockingham Manor. Mrs. Henderson was born January 16, 1914 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Damil Allen and the late Sarah Greene Allen Humphries. Mrs. Henderson was a lifelong resident of Ellerbe, a member of First United Methodist Church of Ellerbe and had been employed with Long’s of Rockingham for 30 years. Her husband, Hugh Henderson, and daughters, Joyce H. Winecoff and Carole H. Warrick Cresson, preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Walter Hugh Henderson, Jr. of Greenville, NC; 4 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at First United Methodist Church of Ellerbe with Rev. Donald Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.
