Keristen Rose Brock, born June 30, 2008 at 11:20 AM went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January, 13, 2010 at 2:00 AM to join those loved ones who passed on before her. Keristen was a very happy and loving baby, full of joy and laughter. She was a miracle baby from day one, born at 23 weeks and weighing only 1 lb. She has been a blessing and a form of inspiration for all those who knew her, and even some who didn’t. She was a fighter and won multiple battles for her life over her short 18 months. She had a smile that would light up a room and beautiful blue eyes that could brighten up everyone’s day. Heaven has to be a much brighter place with her there. She will be missed. She is survived by her mother, Alysia B. Wilson; father, Fredrick C. Brock; brother, Fredrick L. Brock; maternal grandparents, Angela (Nana) and James (Popie); great grandparents, Charlotte and Steve Blevins; uncles, Mark Bates, Kalon Bates and wife Missy; aunt, Jenny Bates and fiance Kenny Blackwell; cousins, Taylor Bates, Kenneth Bates, and Ariel Davis; and great aunts, Tammy Kelsey and family, Kim Cline and family, Melissa Smith and family. Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Cindy and Keith Ellerbe, Cleo Brock; and Aunt Tavi. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Butler and Rev. Terry Holden officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Circle Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home, 138 Plantation Dr. Rockingham. Sweatpea, You are loved now and forever and will be missed greatly!
