John Hampton Covington

Mr. John Hampton Covington, 65 died Friday, January 15, 2010 at his home. He was born June 6, 1944 in Richmond County a son of the late Alton and Nellie Harris Covington. He worked in the maintenance department for the City of Fairhaven, Mass. He severed his country in the U.S. Army. He attended Jefferson Park Freewill Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Webster officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. He is survived by three sister Elizabeth Russell of Rockingham, Julia Holder of Mamers N.C., and Edna Gladden of Apex N.C.
