Annette Carpenter

Mrs. Toni Annette Norton Carpenter, 49, of 517 St. Stephens Church Rd., Rockingham died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born January 14, 1961 in Hartford, CT, a daughter of Benjamin Norton and the late Helen Smith Norton. Mrs. Carpenter was a certified nursing assistant at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham for many years. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Ricky Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving, in addition to her father, is her husband, Haywood Carpenter of the home; two daughters, Helen Odom of Hartsville, SC and Tineisha Gomez of Hamlet; a son, Kristopher Carpenter of Rockingham; stepdaughter, Stacy Lyon of Hamlet; stepson, Dave Carpenter of Rockingham; six grandchildren, Tyler Simpson, Hunter Odom, Travis Odom, Alyssa Odom, Alan Chavis, and Brandi Carpenter; a sister, Donna McLean of Cordova; and two brothers, Tommy Norton of Norman and Johnny Norton of Matthews.
