Ray McIntyre

Ray McIntyre, 71, of 322 McIntyre Rd., Ellerbe died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Ray was born November 27, 1938 in Richmond County, a son of the late William Clayburn and Dolly King McIntyre. He was of the Baptist faith, had retired from Burlington Industries and was a lifelong farmer. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Marion Talley McIntyre of the home; children, Jamie McIntyre of the home, Pam McInnis and husband Robert, Phyllis McIntyre, Ronnie McIntyre, Ken McIntyre and wife Lucy, all of Rockingham, Mike McIntyre and wife Christy, Bobby McIntyre, Melissa Seagraves and husband Tony, all of Ellerbe; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Lois Scott, Jim McIntyre and wife Joanne, all of Ellerbe, William (Toot) McIntyre and wife Sandra, Richard McIntyre, all of Rockingham, George McIntyre and wife Joyce of Exway, and Faye Warner and husband Tony of Waycross, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the Ellerbe Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Talley and Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home on McIntyre Rd.
