Margie Stroud

Mrs. Margie Stroud, 69, of Rockingham died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. She was born July 19, 1940 in Darlington, SC, a daughter of the late Richard and Jessie Kirkland O’Neal. Mrs. Stroud was an active member of Church of God of Prophecy. She was employed for many years in textiles and was a caregiver in her later years. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, February 13th at Church of God of Prophecy in Rockingham with Rev. Keith Burch and Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving is a son, Craig Stroud and wife Esta of Hamlet; two grandchildren, Bryan Tucker and Scott Tucker; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Peyton, Noah, and Logan; sister-in-laws, Judy King, Debbie Lear, Betty Ray Eubanks, and Joyce Cook; fourteen nieces and five nephews and many cousins. Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Stroud. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at 411 Rosedale Lane, Hamlet.
