Christopher McDowell Gibson

Luther Christopher McDowell Gibson, 38, of Chicago, Il, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Il. Chris was born June 7, 1971 in Scotland County, NC, a son of Joseph Gibson, Jessie and Melinda Bullard McDowell. He was owner and operator of LCM Home Improvement and a member of Kingsgate Church International. Surviving are his companion, Jim Moser of Chicago; his parents, Joseph Gibson of Rockingham, Jessie and Melinda McDowell of Rockingham; sisters, Kimberly Butler and Melissa Burchett, both of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Kingsgate Church with Apostle Eddie McLean officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at the church and at other times at the McDowell home, 391 Ellerbe Grove Church Rd. Rockingham.
