Jerry Chappell Wallace

Jerry Chappell Wallace, 64, of Ellerbe, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Wallace was born July 18, 1945 in Richmond County, a son of the late Herbert E. and Ola Chappell Wallace. He attended First Presbyterian Church and the Samaritan Colony. He had worked with Richmond County Animal Control for 15 years and was the retired owner of Silver Run Farms. Surviving are his sons, Charlie Wallace of Ellerbe, Stephen Wallace of Aberdeen, Jerry "Chap" Wallace, II of Wilmington; daughter, Amy Wallace of Aberdeen; brother, Jimmie Wallace of Ellerbe; sister, Nancy Hunter of Asheboro and step-brother, Bernie “ Sonny” Stogner of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the Ellerbe Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Chappell Cemetery. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
