Edna Leviner Lyerly

Edna Leviner Lyerly, 85, of 108 Luther St. Rockingham, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mrs. Lyerly was born February 24, 1924 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Neil Archie and Beulah Greene Leviner. She attended Sweet Haven Church and was a homemaker. Her husband, John T. Lyerly preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Billy Ray Lyerly of Hamlet; daughter, Luann Wilkes of Rockingham; brother, Ed Leviner of Rockingham; sister, Beck Stevens of Hamlet; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wallace, SC, with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Luther St.
