William Roderick Haltom

Mr. William Roderick ‘Bill’ Haltom, 74 of Ooltewah, TN and formerly of Rockingham died Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. He was born November 28, 1931 in Richmond County , a son of the late John Haltom and Verla Newsome Haltom McCaskill. Mr. Haltom was a retired US Army Master Sgt., had operated Bill’s Pool Room for many years in the Pee Dee Section of Rockingham and later was a chicken farmer. He is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Betty Jenkins Haltom ; two sons, W.R. and John; a daughter, Cheryl; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Larry Talley officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
